I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are they works; and that my soul knoweth right well ~Psalm139:11
Oftentimes, I love to go out in nature to draw closer to God. The thing I always noticed as I take a look around His wonderful creation, is that our Creator has an eye for beauty. Not one thing is exactly the same, and every part of His creation is meticulously full of detail. Take a look a bushel of dandelions, at first glance you think of them as all yellow. Upon a closer look they all have a slight different shade of yellow. Or look at a hummingbird, again at first glance it would seem that each bird hums the same, at closer inspection one might hum a little slower than another. God knows what exactly that hummingbird that hums a little slower needs, in fact He knows what the one that hums faster needs too.
Why would that be important, someone would ask? Simply because it matters to Him. Look at us, we are individually created, we didn’t come from some factory. We are not met to look, talk, walk or even think alike. That is because God cared about each one of us, and thought about our destiny as an individual. Let’s look at the word fearfully, what does it really mean.
Fearfully as adverb means thoroughly, decidedly. Imagine friend, the Creator of heaven and earth, took His time and thought thoroughly how he would create you. What you would do? How you would speak? And how you would look? Wow, if you really think about it, that is amazing. Humbling, that He had you and only you on His mind. Look at the word wonderfully, the definition says inspires delight or admiration. God was delighted in you, His creation, as he decided on the color of your skin. He admires your beauty. He never thought of you as mistake, He doesn’t make mistakes. That is why he loves you.
I encourage you to see yourself the way the Father sees you. Take delight in God’s beautiful creation, you. Look in the mirror and write in a journal or even on the mirror 10 positive things that are you. Pray to the Father in Heaven ask Him to reveal those beautiful things. Be patient and wait on the Lord. Find scriptures to reinforce the beauty in you. Post them where you can see them. Lastly, but most importantly praise God and celebrate the beauty that is YOU!
Identity Check…You Are
Did you know that you are who you were met to be? Stand proud! Stop saying in your heart “if I was like this or if I could look like that.” Stop comparing yourself to others. You are the image of God!
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. ~Genesis 1:27
Be You and Soar, child of God!
